SCR GM conducts annual inspection of Secunderabad Division

Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav undertook annual inspection of Kondapalli-Dornakal & Kazipet-Secunderabad Sections of Secunderabad Division on Friday. Secunderabad Divisional Railway Manager Ashesh Agarwal accompanied the General Manager during the inspection.

Commencing his inspection from Kondapalli station, the General Manager stopped at manned level crossing gate between Gangineni and Yerrupalem section to inspect the safety measures in place. He interacted with the gang staff and advised them to perform duty with alertness and give top priority to safety.

He inspected Madhira Station, staff quarters, inaugurated a renovated Children Park, planted sapling at Circulating area. He met the local public representatives, staff associations and received memorandums.

Interacting with the media, the General Manager said that SCR accords priority to passenger needs and assured to look into the aspect of providing stoppage to some of the passing through express trains at Madhira Railway station for the benefit of local people.

The General Manager inspected Major Bridge and curves between Madhira and Khammam.

Meanwhile, Khammam MP P. Srinivasa Reddy met the General Manager at Khammam Railway Station and discussed on rail developmental plans in the region.

The MP along with several other public representatives submitted their representations to the General Manager on issues like stoppage for express trains, construction of foot over bridge, provision of permanent roads and overhead lighting, shifting of Auto stand etc at the Khammam station and goods shed.

Later the General Manager inaugurated a 10 KWp on Grid Solar Power Plant and LED lighting at Khammam Station. He also visited the photo gallery set up by various departments on the aspect of Safety.

Warangal MP Pasunuri Dayakar Rao and MLA Vinay Bhasker met General Manager at Kazipet Railway station and discussed on Rail related issues.

Interacting with the media, the General Manager informed that Kazipet, Warangal and Khammam railway stations have been identified for modernization works and are included in the second phase of Station Redevelopment Programme.

Later, the General Manager inaugurated Diesel Traction Training Centre and also inspected the Railway Colonies, Running Room & Crew Booking Lobbies here. (INN)
