Command Control Centre to monitor PDS commodities

Hyderabad: In order to prevent the illegal sale of commodities, especially rice, meant for Public Distribution System, the Civil Supplies Department has set up a new Command Control Centre.

Speaking to media persons here on Monday, Civil Supplies Commissioner C.V. Anand informed that the Command Control Centre, set up at Civil Supplies Bhavan, would be inaugurated on Tuesday by Finance and Civil Supplies Minister Etala Rajender.

He said CC Cameras have been installed at all godowns where PDS items are stored. He said all the lorries that transport the items have been equipped with GPS and bio-metric machines have been installed at all ration shops.

He said that the entire activity could be monitored from the Command Control Centre. (INN)
