Hyderabad: Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday issued notices to Telangana Government seeking explanation on cabinet ranks given to various personalities including Advisors to Government. The High Court also issued notices to persons who are enjoying cabinet ranks.
The notices were issued as a response to a petition filed by Telangana TDP Working President A. Revanth Reddy wherein he complained that the State Government has violated rules in giving cabinet rank to various personalities.
He said high salaries, perks and other facilities were being given to different persons although they are not cabinet ministers. They include R. Balakrishnan, R. Vidyasagar Rao, A.K. Goel, A. Lakshman, B.V. Papa Rao, K.V. Ramanachary, G. R. Reddy, D. Prabhakar, P. Ramulu, K. M. Sahani, M. Venugopal Chary, Niranjan Reddy and others.
The High Court has asked the State Government to submit its response on the issue within four weeks. (INN)
