Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Friday informed that the construction of 14 out of 40 proposed Model Markets have been completed.
The 40 Model Markets are being constructed at a cost of Rs. 20.33 Crore. They are being constructed with ground floor with 7 shops each shop consisting of 70 to 140 sq.ft., and 8 shops on the first floor for which parking, toilet and other basic minimum facilities are being provided.
In these markets, shops for various commodities and services are being allotted. However, these shops will not be allotted for hotels, restaurants, wine shops etc.,
The GHMC authorities informed that a notice for the allotment of shops and other procedures would be published soon. Meanwhile, the interested citizens may contact the concerned Deputy Commissioner for more details. (INN)
