Leader is a public servant, which I understood from the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, expressed Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) MLA D. Vinay Bhaskar in a public event in Warangal on December 27.
Speaking at the concluding event of a 100 day campaign on life of Prophet Muhammad, Mr. Bhaskar said: “I will try to serve people like the prophet (did).”
Chairman of Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) Prof. Kodandaram also addressed the audience, and said that the program was beneficial for him as he read regarding the life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
Warangal chapter of Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) organized the campaign. Local SIO activists went door-to-door in the city to spread the message of peace as preached by Prophet Muhammad through his noble life.
“SIO had reached out to a staggering 2.5 lakh people during the 100 day campaign,” said Public Relation Secretary of SIO Telangana State Syed Azharuddin.
“We organized more than 150 corner meetings, covered over 40 wards in Warangal, and interacted with thousands of students and over 500 intellectuals within the city”, Azharuddin added.
Among those who addressed the gathering at the event were: JIH Telangana President Hamid Mohammed Khan, SIO National President Iqbal Hussain, JIH secretary Mohammed Rafeeq, and SIO Telangana President Malik Shariq.
