Hyderabad: The Qurrah (Draw of lots) for selection of Haj pilgrims of Haj 2017 from Telangana State would be held on March 18, announced Telangana State Haj Committee Special Officer Prof. S. A. Shukoor on Wednesday.
Shukoor informed that the Telangana State Haj Committee received a total of 20,601 Haj Applications which include 743 applications under Reserve Category ‘A’ (70 + years) and 2294 Haj applications under Reserved category ‘B’ fourth timers. In General category, altogether 17,564 Haj applications have been received this year.
He further said that all the applicants under reserved categories would be selected without Qurrah. The Haj Committee has already collected their passports for processing. (INN)
