TS Govt releases Rs. 210 Cr for constituencies’ development

Hyderabad: The Telangana Government on Thursday released Rs. 210 crore for taking up developmental works under the Plan scheme of ‘Constituency Development Programme’.

The amount has been released at the rate of Rs.1.5 Crore per MLA/MLC Constituency.

The State Government had sanctioned Rs. 3 crore per MLA/MLC Constituency under Constituency Development Programme. Under this head, Rs. 240 crore was released in the month of May 2016 and now another Rs. 210 crore have been released.

The balance amount of Rs.30 lakhs is retained with the government for release towards works sanctioned at the government-level under CDP to MLCs elected by the MLAs and nominated by the Governor.

The District Collectors of Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Vikarabad, Medchal-Malkagigiri, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy and Jogulamba-Gadwal have been asked not to sanction new works till the of Model Code of Conduct for Council Election ceases. (INN)
