TRS MP condemns Digvijay Singh’s remarks on KCR

Hyderabad: TRS MP B. Vinod has strongly denied allegations leveled by AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh wherein he said that Telangana State was being run by four persons of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s family.

Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday, Vinod claimed that the State was not being ruled by four persons, but four crore population of Telangana.

He said that the TRS Government has empowered all citizens of Telangana. He asked Digvijay Singh whether or not Congress was a family-run party.

Vinod also dismissed the allegations that the TRS Government was deliberately escalating the cost of irrigation projects. He said Digvijay Singh himself had served as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh twice and he must understand that the government needs to acquire land to construct irrigation projects.

However, he said that the Congress leaders have been stalling irrigation projects by approaching the courts. He said so far, at least 32 cases have been filed by the Congress leaders to stall land acquisition.

He alleged that the previous Congress regime wasted thousands of crores of rupees on Pranahita-Chevella project and did not get a single drop of water for irrigation. Contrary to this, he said that the TRS Government has finished projects in record time.

The TRS leader said that the it was due to the vision of KCR that Telangana was ranked top in the States of ‘Ease of Doing Business’. He advised Digvijay Singh to focus on sorting out differences between Telangana Congress leaders than criticising KCR.

He said KCR had faced lot of humiliation during the Telangana agitation and he wants to retaliate by making Telangana the best State in the country. He said that the government came up with its own Land Acquisition Bill on the lines of Guarat and Rajasthan and hoped that it would get the nod from President of India.

Vinod Kumar also condemned TJAC Chairman Prof. M. Kodandaram for his stand against TRS Government and asked him to come out of the clutches of conspirators who have surrounded him. (INN)
