Want to See Next Googles, Facebooks & WhatsApps in Hyderabad: KTR

A visionary and energetic IT & Revenue Minister K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) briefed about Telangana Government’s ambitious plan to transform Hyderabad into a true global city in a talk show at Shilpakala Vedika, Hi-Tech City.

Enticing over 1,000 participants with his professional-like presentation on Brand Hyderabad hosted by Hyd Park, the minister said he would want to see next Googles, Facebooks, and WhatsApps coming out from Hyderabad.

He disclosed that world-famous aerospace manufacturer Boeing would be manufacturing its Apache helicopter in Hyderabad soon. He informed that the TS government was successful in attracting Google, Uber and Flipkart to open their largest campuses in Hyderabad.

In addition, KTR said that a pharmaceutical university at a spacious 10,000 acres of land will be set up in Telangana.

Talking about sewerage, waste disposal and traffic problems in Hyderabad, KTR said the government has envisioned and started a planned growth for Hyderabad.

Criticizing much hyped national campaign Swachh Bharat, KTR said unlike Swachh Bharat which is not backed by sustained plan the TS government has distributed dustbins for collecting waste directly from households for effective waste management.

KTR informed that the government gave dustbins to 22 lakh families, commissioned 1000 trolleys, and strengthened public transport through MMTS Phase II, Hyderabad Metro Rail.

The minister elaborated on Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP), Mission Bhagiratha, efforts of the State government to increase installed power capacity from the present 4760 MW to 24,000 MW.

He spoke at length on cleaning Hussain Sagar and rejuvenating Himayat Sagar and Osman Sagar, in addition to plans to plantation of around 10 crore sapling in Hyderabad as part of Haritha Haaram.

KTR mentioned about the historic and unprecedented industrial policy, TSiPASS. He listed out the companies that set their shop, scaled up or thriving after the introduction of the policy.

He also mentioned the TS government’s efforts to uphold and strengthen the Ganga-Jamuna Tehzeeb, the capital city Hyderabad is known for.
