Passports disbursed to railway staff at ‘Mee Kosam’ function

Hyderabad: South Central Railway General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav handed over passports to Railway staff at a Grand Valedictory function of “Mee Kosam” Mega Passport Mela at Rail Nilayam Auditorium in Secunderabad on Tuesday.

Dr. E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, Regional Passport Officer, Hyderabad, A.K.Gupta, Addl. General Manager, N.V.Ramana Reddy, Chief Personnel Officer were the Guests of Honour.

Speaking on the occasion, Vinod Kumar Yadav said that he was glad to see the happiness on the faces of Railway Employees who got Passports during the Passport Mela. “It is a gift to the Railway Staff who are working diligently and relentlessly to provide safe passage of trains.

The Railway Administration is committed to take care of the welfare of the staff. Mega Passport Mela “Mee Kosam” was planned to extend the welfare oriented programs and it is happy to note that 5252 members of Railway family have availed the opportunity during the Mela. More such type of Melas will be organized in the future for the benefit of staff,” the General Manager informed.

Dr. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, speaking on the occasion stated that Passport is not a privilege but the Right of every Indian Citizen. Passport will provide wings to the dreams of persons who aspires to fly high.

Ministry of External Affairs has simplified the procedures to get passport so that all the citizens of the Nation will have passport without any hassle. The integration of Aadhar system for obtaining passport has transformed the process for the benefit of citizens, he said. (INN)
