Parl panel praises GHMC for hygiene in hotels

Hyderabad: J.C. Diwakar Reddy, Parliamentary Standing Committee Chairman and members of the Standing Committee has praised the efforts made by the GHMC for maintaining hygiene conditions at the hotels and eating establishments duly imposing fines and seizing the eating establishments for serving unhygienic food with polluted environment.

The Parliamentary Standing Committee members, under the Chairmanship of Diwakar Reddy, along with the Chief Secretary and senior officials of various departments had a special meeting at a hotel on Thursday.

In this context, the Members have appreciated the GHMC officials for their role and asked them to ensure better facilities with hygiene and polluted free environment.

To this effect, the Parliamentary Commission Chairman has asked the Chief Secretary to take more appropriate steps and to strengthen the system for more effective implementation not only by the GHMC but all the connected departments like Civil supplies etc., so that better food and essential commodities be supplied and provided to the citizens avoiding health hazards.
