7379 selected constables report for training

Hyderabad: Telangana Director General of Police Anurag Sharma on Tuesday informed that as many as 7,379 candidates have reported for training of Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables (SCTPCS) in their respective units.

The DGP said that the unit offices are ready with all the necessary arrangements for the training. He further said that the training would be conducted in two semesters. While the first semester will focus on life skills, community policing, public speaking and Israel self defence technique called ‘Krav Maga’’,

the second semester deals with awareness on Child sexual abuse, human trafficking, gender awareness, tactics, cyber crimes and economic offences. He further said that the training centres are also facilitated with physiotherapists, mentoring and buddy system.

Anurag Sharma also said that the training would have a special module called “Mukha-Mukhi” (face to face) where the trainees will interact with the victims of various crimes to develop sensitivity and understanding of post crime situation.

He said that all the Civil and AR trainees are given personal computers so that they become familiar with the use of computers.

The candidates, as per qualification, who reported for training include Intermediate – 1423; Degree – 2845; Post Graduation – 895; B-Tech – 1462; B.Ed – 100; B- Pharmacy – 47; LLB – 5; Polytechnic – 59; M Tech – 161; M Pharmacy – 23; MBA – 243; MCA – 103 and SSC – 13. (INN)
