No delay in release of benefits to ex-servicemen: Governor

Hyderabad: Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan chaired the 1st meeting of the State Management Committee of Special Fund for Reconstruction and Rehabilitation of Ex-Servicemen of Telangana held at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that any case of Ex-Servicemen requiring immediate release of funds under the Special Fund for Reconstruction and Rehabilitation, be brought to his notice for expeditious clearance. The Governor instructed the State Director of Sainik Welfare Department,

to ensure that there is no duplication with that of the schemes already implemented by Central Government agencies for the welfare of Ex-Servicemen.

The Governor also issued instructions to constitute a Committee to look into the issue of release of monetary benefits to families of SCOs and JCOs, in deserving cases on a case-to-case basis.

Chief Secretary S.P. Singh, Principal Secretary to Governor Harpreet Singh, officers of Telangana State Government, officers of Ministry of Defence, New Delhi, have also participated in the meeting. (INN)
