Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi has announced its support for use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in elections by the Election Commission of India.
Speaking to media persons after attending the all-party meeting convened by the ECI in New Delhi on Friday, TRS MP B. Vinod said that the TRS has no objection over use of EVMs. He said it was wrong to issue statements aimed at creating confusion among people over EVMs.
He said there was nothing wrong in making effective use of available technology. He said that the Election Commission has been performing its duties without showing any favour to any political party.
Therefore, all political parties should play their role in strengthening the electoral processes by taking people into confidence, he said. (INN)
