Dry weather to continue in Telangana next week

Hyderabad: The Telangana State is likely to witness dry weather in the next week from 20th to 26th May.

Based on the Weather Model run at Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) of Planning Department and other available numerical guidance from National Centers (IMD and other centers),

it has been predicted that with the prevailing north-south oriented trough moving eastwards and passing along coastal Andhra Pradesh with westerly to northwesterly winds over Telangana State, mainly dry weather condition will continue over Telangana State during the week.

The gradual rise of maximum temperatures is likely over north and eastern parts of the state which were likely above normal by 4 Degrees Celsius to 6 Degrees on few days during the week.

It will be in the range of 43 Degrees to 46 Degrees over north and eastern parts of the state and the remaining parts of the state is excepted to be in the range of 39 Degrees to 43 Degrees,

while the minimum temperature will be in the range of 27 Degrees to 30 Degrees during the week, TSDPS Weather Forecast/Analysis Consultant Y.V. Rama Rao said on Friday.

In the last week, with the prevailing north-south oriented trough passing through the Telangana State during the week,

light rain/thundershowers occurred at isolated places over Ranga Reddy, Adilabad, Nirmal, Nalgonda, Khammam and neighborhood. The highest rainfall of 27mm recorded at Nampalle (Nalgonda) on 15th May during the week.

Heat wave conditions prevailed at a few places over Komarambheem-Asifabad, Mancherial, Peddapalle, Jayashankar-Bhupalpally, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda districts on two to three days during the second half of the week.

The highest maximum temperature of 47.6 Degrees Celsius was recorded at Konijerla (Khamman) on 16th May during the week. (INN)
