CS writes to J&K Govt to airlift body of TS man killed in Ananthanag

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Secretary S.P Singh on Friday wrote a letter to his Jammu & Kashmir counterpart seeking help in airlifting the body of a tourist who was killed in a cylinder blast in Ananthanag.

The Chief Secretary informed that a group of 47 tourists from Kamareddy district of Telangana State are travelling in a local tourist bus in Jammu & Kashmir.

During their travelling from Kajigunda to Ananthanag, it has been learnt that there has been a cylinder blast. Of 47 people, one person has reportedly died and 3 persons are seriously injured and 12 others got other injuries. It seems they are under the care of the CRPF Base Camp are Kajigunda.

S.P. Singh requested the J&K Chief Secretary to direct the District Collector, Ananthanag and Srinagar to make arrangements for their medical treatment and safe transit onward to New Delhi via Jammu and airlifting of dead body to Hyderabad.

He further requested that this matter may be treated as “Most Urgent”. He also furnished the details of the injured persons and the details of hospitals in which they were admitted.

The Resident Commissioner, Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi has been asked to co-ordinate with the local authorities in Jammu & Kashmir at Srinagar and Ananthanag and CRPF for shifting the mortal remains to Hyderabad and remaining persons may be arranged to be transported to New Delhi. (INN)
