City Police partners with Synchrony Financial to strengthen safety and security

Hyderabad: Hyderabad City Police on Tuesday integrated its Hawkeye application with a transport services application used by Synchrony Financial to further strengthen the safety of Synchrony Financial employees and ensure enhanced security in the region.

Synchrony Financial uses MoveInSync, a transport security solution which provides a GPS tracking and security alarms app for their transport service.

As a part of the initiative, Hyderabad City Police and Synchrony Financial have integrated both the applications to enable police to get immediate alerts and ensure prompt action to safeguard employees in need of help.

The event was attended by Hyderabad Police Commissioner of Police M. Mahendar Reddy, Cyberabad Commissioner Sandeep Shandilya, Additional CP Crimes and SHE TEAMS Swati Lakhra, Synchrony Financial Sr. Vice President Faisal Uddin and other dignitaries.

The new feature introduced by Synchrony Financial will significantly improve the safety of its employees by ensuring faster response time and issue resolution.

As soon as the employee in distress presses the SOS alert button a simultaneous notification will be sent to the nearest patrol mobiles, concerned area SHOs, ACP, DCP& the police control room and a predefined escalation matrix will be set by the in-house Security Team at Synchrony Financial.

The application will also notify the Incidence Response Management teamat Synchrony Financial, which will enable a 3-level escalation through SMS and Email, if no action is taken on the complaint within the stipulated time.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahendar Reddy said, “Hyderabad City Police is committed tothe safety and security of all citizens. The use of technology and integration of the SOS alert with the Hawkeye application will help us further strengthen the safety and security in the city and address complaints faster.
