BJP demands official celebration of Hyderabad Liberation Day

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president Dr. K. Lakshman has demanded that State Government celebrate the Hyderabad Liberation Day on September 17 at official level. He warned of agitation if the TRS Government fail to meet this demand.

Lakshman made this demand while addressing State BJP’s Executive meeting at Warangal on Sunday.

He said that BJP-led Central Government has been making huge contribution in development of Telangana State. He said that the Centre has approved NIMZ in Zaheerabad which would provide direct jobs to nearly 2.5 lakh youth.

He said the Central has also approved 61 Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools, 2 Model Schools and Rs. 108 crore for the construction of girls’ hostels in Telangana State. He said that the Centre was giving assistance in construction of 17 irrigation projects in the State.

Lakshman alleged that the TRS Government has failed on all front. He said several ministers were involved in various irregularities. He said Hyderabad has turned into a den of drugs mafia. The condition of farmers is worst and hundreds of farmers were resorting to suicide.

The BJP leader said that his party would come to power in Telangana State in 2019 elections. He asked the cadre to strengthen the party at all levels. He said that the BJP would organise Assembly Sammelan by inviting 25 BJP workers from all polling booths in Telangana State. (INN)
