CM seeks Action Plan to fill 84,000 vacancies

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has instructed the officials concerned to prepare a department wise action plan for the recruitment of 84,000 vacancies in the State.

The Chief Minister has instructed that the state government officials concerned under Chief Secretary SP Singh and Public Service Commission officials under its Chairman Prof Ghanta Chakrapani should meet once in a week to expedite the recruitment process.

He has instructed Deputy CM Kadiam Srihari to prepare an action plan for the recruitment of thousands of teachers in the Residential Schools.

KCR has made an important announcement with regard to the recruitment in his Independence Day Celebrations address on August 15. The very next day, on Wednesday, the CM spoke to the Chief Secretary, TSPSC Chairman and others on the matter. He wanted the recruitment process to be taken up immediately for the new jobs without any delay.

The Chief Minister regretted that certain adverse elements are trying to put obstacles for the measures taken up the government including the recruitments through Courts.

In this context, the CM felt that the officials concerned should be careful while preparing the guidelines and ensure that there is scope for any litigation. He wanted the officials to consult the law department before issuing the notifications. He also asked them to be prepared to face the cases to be filed in the courts.

He wanted the officials to work in coordination.

Prof Ghanta Chakrapani has informed the Chief Minister that the Public Service Commission was formed to recruit candidates departments wise and so far the Commission had issued 58 Notifications department wise and expedited the process after the Telangana state was formed.

He told the CM that through the Service Commission, so far over 5,000 were appointed and recruitment process for another 12,000 would be over in a month’s time. Since the legal matters were resolved, results for the Group I and Group II will be declared shortly.

The Chief Minister asked the Commission to work with the same spirit, complete the bounden responsibility of recruiting 84,000. He has agreed for the appointment of 90 more staff in the Commission as the burden on the Commission has increased.

In accordance with the CM’s instructions, Deputy CM Kadiam Srihari, TSPSC Chairman Prof Ghanta Chakrapani, CS SP Singh, Principal Secretary (Finance) Ramakrishna Rao, Law Secretary Niranjan Rao, TSPSC Secretary Vani Prasad, Principal Secretary (GAD) Adhar Sinha and others met.

They have discussed the strategy to be adopted for the recruitment. It was decided to issue notifications for the recruitment department wise immediately. They have decided to find out the vacancies to be created next year and start the process this year itself.

They have resolved to work to recruit 1.12 lakh recruitments in tune with the CM’s directive. They have also decided to argue strongly in the cases already filed in the courts. They wanted to be more cautious as there are certain elements trying to create obstacles and have decided to do justice to the Telangana youth. (INN)
