In a letter to Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharathi on Wednesday, the TRS MP said almost all reservoirs in Karnataka have sufficient water while both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were facing shortage of water.
He said that the Central Government was not taking any measures to create some kind of balance between the States dependent on Godavari and Krishna Rivers. He said that the present policy was benefitting only a few States while others, including Telangana, were badly hit from the same.
Narsaiah Goud also urged the Centre to direct Karnataka State to release 20 TMC of water to Telangana on urgent basis. (INN)
