Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy directed the Engineering officials to take up repairing works on war footing basis for the roads which were damaged due to heavy rains from the last few days.
The GHMC Commissioner held a detailed review meeting with the Engineering Officials and instructed them to take up immediate road repairs for the convenience of the citizens on priority and also to call for the tender process immediately.
He informed that the GHMC Emergency teams are working 24×7 to clear the debris waste materials etc., on the roads due to heavy rains and also directed the
Town Planning officials will personally monitor the situation to vacate the people from the dilapidated buildings.
The GHMC has established medical camps at 28 areas where nearly 1500 people availed the medical facilities. The Entomology Wing is also taking up Anti Larva Operations to control mosquito menace. The GHMC has also supplied 6,000 food packets to the affected people.
There are 185 lakes out of which 106 lakes are full of water another 54 lakes are full of water up to 75% another and other lakes 50%. (INN)
