KTR asks GHMC corporators to play active role in city’s development

Hyderabad: Municipal Administration Minister K. Tarakarama Rao has urged the GHMC corporators to play an active role in the development of Hyderabad.

The minister held a review meeting with GHMC Corporators and officials of various departments at Haritha Plaza in Begumpet on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, KTR asked the officials to focus on issues such as parks, sanitation, roads management and drinking water supply.

He said that the Telangana Government has a special vision for the development of Hyderabad and therefore, several measures were taken to strengthen the GHMC. He listed out various schemes being implemented by the government for the development of Hyderabad.

He asked the corporators to identify specific works to be taken up in their respective divisions. KTR advised that coordination meetings between various departments and corporators be held at Circle level. He also directed the officials to immediately act on issues identified by the corporators.
