Hyderabad: Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi asked the officials of Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board to expeditiously complete the works in Old City.
On Thursday, Asaduddin Owaisi took a review meeting on Balshetty Khet Reservoir located in Dabeerpura and other projects of city with the HMWSSB officials and gave them two months time for completion of reservoir works.
He directed the officials to speed up the works of water pipelines and drainage lines in eight Assembly constituencies of Charminar, Yakutpura, Bahadurpura, Chandrayangutta, Malakpet, Goshamahal, Nampally and Karwan for which Planning Department released Special funds of Rs. 47.10 crores recently.
Asaduddin Owaisi said he had requested Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao to visit Old City in the first week of January to inaugurate the Balshetty Khet Reservoir, Electrical Sub-Station adjacent to Printing Press at Sayeedabad and other development works. (INN)
