TSBIE warns colleges against collecting higher exam fee from inter students

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) said that it was in receipt of complaints from the students and parents that the college managements were collecting excess amount ranging from Rs. 500 to Rs. 4,000 towards examination fee instead of the prescribed fee by the Board.

The Board has asked students and parents not to pay any excess amounts to the college principals.

If any college is demanding excess fee, they have been advised to contact the concerned District Intermediate Education Officer to check such excess collection of exam fee.

The board has warned of stringent action against such managements.

The examination fee prescribed by the Board for IPE, March 2018 is as follow: For 1st Year Science & Arts students – Rs. 450; For 2nd Year Arts students – Rs. 450; For 2nd Year Science students – Rs. 610 (Rs. 450 for Theory papers + Rs. 160 for Practical papers); For 1st year and 2nd year Vocational students without practicals – Rs. 450 and for 1st year and 2nd year Vocational students with practicals – Rs. 610 (Rs. 450 for Theory papers + Rs. 160 for Practical papers).
