Telangana Receives ‘Best State in Skill Development’ Award from ASSOCHAM

The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) has awarded Telangan State for its focus and efforts build the institutional mechanism to take up skilling on large scale.

The newly formed received the prestigious award in the category of “Best State in Skill Development” for skill development initiative under the banner of Telangana State Skill Development Mission (TSSDM).

TSSDM is a nodal agency for skill development in the state. ASSOCHAM has recognized the efforts of the state to bring into focus the need to take up skilling.

TSSDM gets silver statue after being adjudged the second best after Rajasthan state livelyhoods and skill development mission.

Skill mission has been largely able to bring in uniformity in skilling processes and put in place best practices by leveraging IT to monitor the entire process. This has been the model for replication all across the country.

EGMM executive director K. Madhukar Babu has received this award on behalf of TSSDM in a ceremony held in Hotel Shang Ri La in New Delhi last week.

The awards was given away by Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Minister for Skill Development and Entreprenuership, Government of India.

ASSOCHAM gives away awards to various organizations, individuals, NGOs and states for excellence in skill development each year in recognition of their contribution in the field of skill development.
