Hyderabad: Professor jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) is planning to establish Agri Incubation Center to promote Agri Entrepreneurship skills among the undergraduate students of the university.
In this regard A preliminary meeting was held here on Tuesday with Dr. Manisha Acharya, CEO of New Delhi based Indigram Labs Foundation (ILF) & Indian Society of Agribusiness Professionals (ISAP) by the PJTSAU Vice Chancellor Dr. V Praveen Rao at Administrative office, Rajendranagar.
In an interactive meeting with VC and University officers of PJTSAU, Indigram Labs foundation has agreed to extend technical consultancy in preparing of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for establishment of Agri Incubation center and Agri startups in university.
And also ILF may help in organizing entrepreneurship awareness and idea generation camps for identify the entrepreneur skills in students.
PJTSAU has to give space and faculty support to run the program in the university. As the suggestion came from the ILF, Dr Praveen Rao, VC has preliminarily agreed to establish the Agri Entrepreneurship Cell in the university and appoint a faculty member to coordinate the program.
Dr. Rao, advised the director international programs to start work on to prepare a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the ILF to move forward in this regard. They have also discussed on the mobilization of funds from various sources including Department of Science and Technology (DST) as capital investment for agri. startups .
The University officers who were present in this interactive meeting include Dr. S Sudheer Kumar, Dr. T Pradeep, Dr. D. Rajireddy, Dr. KS Dangi, Dr. Sadasivarao, Dr. KVS Meenakumari, Dr. Laxman, Dr. K. Jeevan Rao and Gopala Krishna. (INN)
