KCR will spend rest of his life jail in if tried for cheating people: Uttam

Gesugonda (Parkal): Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao will spend rest of his life in jail if lying with people for votes is made a punishable offence.

Addressing a massive public meeting in Gesugonda mandal of Parkal Assembly constituency of Warangal on Sunday evening, Uttam Kumar Reddy strongly condemned the Chief Minister for changing provisions for application of Section 506 and 507 which enable the police to book cases without taking court’s nod.

He said that the move was to throttle criticism and muzzle opposition parties. He said if similar rules are applied on KCR, then he would spend his remaining life in jail for repeatedly cheating the people with his fake promises.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Chief Minister would not have required to change laws or make new one to suppress critics if he would have fulfilled the promises. He said that KCR has cheated women by not implementing any of the schemes that were introduced during Congress regime.

While the TRS Government is paying thousands of crores to contractors, it was not releasing funds for the Women Self Help groups.

He announced that after coming to power in 2019, the next Congress Government would pay the interest amount on loans up to Rs. 10 lakh. Further, he said all dues of Abhay Hastham would be cleared and it would be implemented properly.

The TPCC chief alleged that KCR has no respect for women. He said Telangana was the only major State in the country with no woman in State Cabinet. He said KCR does have trust on the capability and efficiency of women. Further, he alleged that KCR does not leave an opportunity to insult women using harsh words.

Citing an instance, he said KCR did not spare former Speaker of Lok Sabha Meira Kumar when she visited the victims of Nerella police torture incident. He said that the Chief Minister did not even consider that Meira Kumar was a Dalit and daughter of Babu Jagjivan Ram.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Congress party would ensure social justice and provide equal opportunities for all sections of the society. He said that the next Congress Government would give a major boost to agriculture sector by waiving off crop loans up to Rs. 2 lakh and providing supporting prices to all crops.

He expressed confidence that Congress would win all 12 Assembly and two Lok Sabha constituencies in erstwhile Warangal district. He said that there was a Congress wave across Telangana State and the party would come to power whenever elections are held.

Hundreds of activists from TRS, TDP and other parties also joined the Congress party on the occasion. Senior leaders including Dr. Dasoju Sravan, Vijayarama Rao, Ravinder Naik, Venkatram Reddy, Bharat Goud and others were also present.

Led by Yepuri Somanna, members of Samskretika Sena gave enthralling performance with their songs on failures of TRS Government. (INN)
