Hyderabad: South Central Railway General Manager and Chief Patron of South Central Railway Sports Association (SCRSA) Vinod Kumar Yadav called upon to inculcate competitive and healthy sports culture amongst the children of railway employees and sports quota recruits to reach national and international levels.
He held a sports council review meeting with all the Members of SCRSA and Divisional Railway Managers of the zone at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad on Monday.
Addressing the meeting, Vinod Kumar Yadav advised the sports officials to encourage the children of railway employees with an objective to attract towards sports and motivate them to participate in sports by utilising the international standard infrastructure facilities available at Railway Sports Complex, Secunderabad.
He instructed the officials to provide proper environment to the sports quota staff to practice well and to develop their skills to reach to National and International level.
He instructed all the DRMs to take personal interest on further development of infrastructure and facilities. He complimented all the sports fraternity for their achievements and performance.
SCRSA General Secretary E.V. Krishna Reddy made a detailed presentation on the achievements, further needs of improvement in sports infrastructure.
The General Manager was briefed on SCR’s achievements during the recent times, besides the details pertaining to hosting of various All India Railway Championships. The General Secretary also updated General Manger on the recruitment position, infrastructure availability at railway sports complex and major works under progress related to sports etc.,
