Focus on Multidisciplinary Research, advises GITAM VC to faculty

GITAM University vice chancellor Prof. M.S. Prasada Rao advised varsity faculty members to focus on multidisciplinary research in a program held yesterday in its Hyderabad campus.

 “We (GITAM University faculty) have to work on multidisciplinary research. A combined work culture has to be developed” said Prof. Rao while addressing over 100 staff members.

He further highlighted the need for continuous interaction with the students.

“Engage them academically and in the sports and cultural activities. We must concentrate on slow learners” VC stressed.

In addition, he said GITAM should be a ragging free campus. “Don’t show any mercy on it,” he said while adding that “any student never ever involve in ragging”.

Prof. Rao appealed the faculty to always think about the growth of the varsity and try to contribute towards it.

He interacted with the faculty members in Manjeera Hall at GITAM University’s Hyderabad campus along with Prof. N.Siva Prasad, Director, School of Technology, Prof. Ch.Sanjay, Principal, Prof. S.S.Prasada Rao, Dean& Director, HBS and DVVSR Varma, Resident Director.
