Hyderabad: On the first day of Voting of Demands on Wednesday, the Telangana Legislative Assembly has approved the demands for grants to Agriculture, Cooperation and Civil Supplies Administration.
In the absence of main opposition party members who have been suspended from the House for the entire Budget Session, the demand for grants has been approved by the Assembly, as there was no demand for amendment by any members including the members of BJP in the House during the discussion. Hence, there was no amendment.
Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy gave a brief about the proposed schemes to be taken up by the government in the year 2018-19 and sought the Vote of Demands to grant Rs. 12,734 crore to be spent in the financial year 2018-19. Similarly, he also sought to grant a sum of Rs. 111.36 crore for Cooperation Department.
Civil Supplies Minister Etela Rajender has sought to grant a sum of Rs. 1920.98 crore for Civil Supplies Administration.
Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy has put all these demands for voting and were approved. (INN)
