Hyderabad: M Mahender Reddy, In charge DGP of Telangana state has been appointed as the regular Director General of Police.
Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has signed on the file on Monday pertaining to Mahender Reddy’s appointment as the permanent DGP.
The State legislature has passed an Act recently enabling the State government to appoint its DGP. Based on this Act, the State Government has appointed Mahender Reddy as the DGP.
Mahender Reddy has been the in charge DGP since November 12 last year. (INN)
