Ambedkar’s spirit made Telangana State possible: KTR

Hyderabad: IT Minister K. Taraka Rama Rao presented Dr. B.R Ambedkar T Pride Awards here on Saturday.

The awards were presented on the occasion of Babasaheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s 127th birth anniversary on Saturday in a grand function held at Ravindra Bharathi.

Addressing the gathering, K.T. Rama Rao said Telangana became possible because of the provision made in Constitution by none other than Babasaheb Ambedkar.

If we – me and Jagadishwar Reddy became ministers because of the formation of Telangana which again was possible due to the provisions created in the constitution, he said. Agitation for Telangana was fought with Ambedkar Spirit, he added.

“Our government is committed for the development of SC/ST in the state. There will be only two types of people in future – rich and poor. If you want to abolish caste system fight caste with capital,” he said and assured full cooperation from the State Government. “No state in India so proactive to Dalits problems,” he claimed.

Responding to requests made by Narra Ravi Kumar, President of DICCI South India, KT Rama Rao said request for land for Business Felicitation Centre would be looked into. A high level meeting will be called in a fortnight and the needful will be done.

Our T Pride policy is the best in the country and no state can boast of. Some of the states have adopted it in to, said Minister Jagadishwar Reddy.

Several MoUs were exchanged between private business houses like Uber, NSIC, Swiggy and SC Corporation. Car Taxis were launched on the occasion

Organised jointly by DICCI, T-Pass Govt of Telangana, SC Corporation the awards are presented in Manufacturing, Services, Women Categories in both SC and ST castes. (INN)
