Students from various institutions and organizations in Hyderabad came out to protest against the Kathua and Unnao rape cases on Saturday.
Demanding #JusticeForAsifa and the victim of Unnao, Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) activists staged a candle light protest at the historic Charminar.
Meanwhile, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) students, teachers and non-teaching staff also organized a candle light march in the campus in support of the two victims of rape.
Students not only condemned the heinous crimes but also criticized the perpetrators for trying to sabotage investigation and legal process.
MANUU Students Union president Attaullah Niazi, who comes from the same Gujjar community of Asfia, said that women were not safe in the Jungle Raj.
“I want these culprits to be hanged. Nothing less is justifiable when a minor is raped and brutally murdered,” Niazi demanded.
