Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy that in view of early monsoon from 1st June, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is deploying Monsoon Emergency teams.
The Commissioner held a review meeting at the GHMC Head Office with engineering officials on Friday to deploy emergency monsoon teams in identified locations from today as the monsoon has arrived a week earlier.
He directed all the officials to taken up social audit under any circumstances and to personally monitor all the works which are being taken up in their jurisdictions.
He said they should not give any scope for the criticism with regard to execution and quality of works. He also wanted the officials to involve the citizens of their areas in implementing the works.
Janardhan Reddy gave clear instructions to the engineers to provide sufficient pumping machines be kept ready for utilization.
Chief Engineer Ziauddin, SEs, EEs and senior officials of the Engineering officials have attended the review meeting. (INN)
