34 TSWREIS students shine in Indian Maritime University CET 2018

Hyderabad: 34 students of Telangana social welfare residential educational institutions have cracked the Common Entrance Test (CET 2018) conducted by the Indian Maritime University, Chennai.

The qualified students are likely to get admission into various maritime undergraduate courses including Naval Architecture, Oceanic Engineering, Maritime Science and Logistics, Retailing and E-Commerce. Of the 34 students, 15 are girls.

It is a matter of pride that social and tribal welfare students have been getting admission into various prestigious central universities, including University of Delhi, Gujarat National Law University, NALSAR, University of Pondicherry, Indian Maritime University and many other universities in recent years, the Secretary Dr RS Praveen Kumar remarked.

He further said that, during every summer, exclusive summer camps are organized to prepare students for various national level competitive exams – CA-CPT, CLAT, NEET, IIT, NDA, Civil Services and Central Universities.
The Secretary congratulated the teachers for helping the students to explore new frontiers in the field of education.

The Secretary thanked the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and the Minister G. Jagadish Reddy for their support for organizing summer samurai camps on a mega scale.

The summer samurai camps have been transforming the lives of the students by instilling confidence and preparing them to take up the challenges of the 21st century, the Secretary added.
