Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister (Education) Kadiyam Srihari strongly objected to the comments made by TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy wherein he described Rythu Bandhu scheme as “Ra-Bandhu” which apparently stands for “looting poor farmers at a massive scale”.
Speaking to media persons after launching the website http://transfers.edse.telangana.gov.in on teachers transfer application process at Secretariat on Thursday, the Deputy Chief Minister said that it was the culture of the Congress party to looting the people and public treasury and not of TRS party.
“We sincerely work for the people,” he said and advised Uttam to be careful in using his words. He said Rythu Bandhu scheme is being appreciated by everyone all across the country, he said.
The Deputy CM informed that BJP floor leader G. Kishan Reddy has spoken to him appreciating the “Girls Sanitary Kit” which is being supplied to the girls of government run educational institutions.
He said that the BJP leader had sought more details of the schemes so that he could make a representation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for implementing the same model all across the country.
84 KGBV upgraded as junior colleges
Kadiam said that he, as the Chairman of the Central Committee on improving the girl child education and to control on drop outs, has recommended for upgrading all the Central government run Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyala up to junior colleges, which has been accepted and issued orders for upgrading all the schools into junior colleges.
As part of it, in the Telangana State 475 KGBVs are functioning out of this 84 KGBVs has been upgraded from this academic year, for which orders have been issued, said Kadiam. (INN)
