GHMC to develop tourists’ spots

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will take special measures on priority basis for the development of tourists spots in the city.

According to GHMC, more than 20,000 tourists are visiting places like Charminar, Golkonda, Quli Qutubshah Tombs, Birla Mandir, Mecca Masjid, Salarjung Museum, Shilparamam and Tank Bund in normal days and the number goes up to 35,000 during weekends and holidays.

Therefore, the GHMC is deploying on special officer for each tourist spot to take care of sanitation and other related issues.

GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy has directed the officials to take up Swachh awareness campaigns and improve the facilities at the tourists’ spots. (INN)
