Higher education is under severe stress: TSCHE chief

Hyderabad: Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) Chairman Prof. T. Papi Reddy today called upon the Educational Administrators to brace up for the challenges facing Higher Education.

Inaugurating the two day workshop for academic administrators at the UGC-HRDC, Osmania University here today, Prof. Papi Reddy pointed that higher education has come under severe stress as the expectations of various stake holders have increased.

He also said that the administrators should remain alert and be ready to face any crisis without compromising the rules and procedures.

He recalled the efforts of the Telangana State Government to streamline Higher Education so that it can meet global competition.

Director, UGC-HRDC, OU, Prof. A. Balakishan highlighted the activities of the center. Deputy Director, Ms, V. Sudha and Assistant Director Mr. Chalamalla Venkat, Principals of University Colleges, Administrators of OU and other Universities were also present. (INN)
