PJTSAU hosts national workshop on agriculture

Hyderabad: The launching workshop on National Knowledge Management Centre for Agricultural Education and Research has held in PJTSAU, here on Wednesday.

The workshop was jointly organized by Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) and National Agriculture Higher Education Project (NAHEP) at the Central library, Rajendranagar. Dr. R.B.Sharma, National coordinator, NAHEP, ICAR was the Chief Guest and spoke on this launching workshop.

While speaking on this occasion Dr.R.B.Sharma said, that Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR) is committed to extend and enhance the quality services to its stakeholders i.e. students and scientists, faculty members in State Agricultural Universities across the country.

He also assured that ICAR is ready to extend the support to improve the library services by using modern digital technologies. Dr.A.K.Jain, Former Principal Scientist & Head AKM unit, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi was also spoke on this occasion.

He stressed upon the use and importance of artificial intelligence technologies in delivering of effective library services to the students and other stakeholders.

Dr.K.Veeranjaneyulu, University Librarian of PJTSAU has gave the overview of the project. Dr.D.Rama Rao, Former Director NAARM, Dr.Koteshwar Rao, Former University Librarian, University of Hyderabad were also spoke on this occasion.

The University Officers of PJTSAU Dr.D.Raji Reddy, Dr.Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Dr.K.V.S.Meena Kumari, Dr.Jeevan Rao, Asst. Librarian N.P.Ravikumar were present.
