MANUU organizes ‘Azad Walk’

Hyderabad: NSS Cell of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, has organized ‘Azad Walk’ at the campus today as part of the ongoing Azad Day Celebrations in run up to National Education Day on 11th November.

MANUU is celebrating the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad , from November 5.

University Registrar Dr. M A Sikandar flagged off the Walk from the NSS Office at 4.00 pm. Hundreds of Students, teachers and employees of the University participated in the Walk.

Equal Number of girls also took part in the walk. Students were seen holding the play cards containing famous quotes and saying of Maulana Azad highlighting the importance of education.

The aim of the Walk is to make students aware about the importance of education and to revisit the ideas and freedom struggle of Maulana Azad.

Dr. Mohammad Fariyad, NSS Coordinator and Abid Abdul Wasay, PRO & Convener, Organizing Committee also spoke on the occasion.

Meanwhile, on 11th November, Sunday ‘Azad Run’ will start from University Main Gate at 10.30 am and in evening a special cultural programme will also be held at 6.00 pm to celebrate National Education Day.
