Hyderabad: First Azad Round Robin League Volleyball Tournament- 2018 organised by the Directorate of
Physical Education & Sports at Sports Complex of MANUU recently, won by Red Hills Volley Ball team.
According to Mr. Mohammed Mujahid Ali, Assistant Director I/C, DPE & Sports three teams MANUU, MMT & Red Hills participated in the tournament.
Chief Guest Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, Vice Chancellor, MANUU presented the trophy to the winning Red Hills Volleyball team. Individual Gold Medals were presented to Red-Hills players, Silver Medals were given to MMT players and Bronze Medals were given to MANUU volleyball team.
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by Prof. Shakeel Ahmad, Pro-vice Chancellor, MANUU. While inaugurating the tournament Prof. Shakeel Ahmad urged the players to perform to the best of their abilities and at the same time, maintain spirit of the sportsmanship.
Prof. Abul Kalam, Chairman Sports Monitoring Committee urged the players to maintain maximum civility in their
attitude, maximum civility in their behavior and maximum aggression in their performance.
In the first match Red Hills Volleyball team beat MANUU by 25-23 & 25-17, in the second match Red Hills Volleyball team defeated MMT by 25-20 & 25-23. In the last league match MMT beat MANUU by 25-18 & 26-24.
Final was played between Red Hills & MMT teams, in which Red Hills won the First Azad Round Robin League Volleyball Tournament 2018 by defeating MMT with the score of 25-18, 25-21 & 25-22.
Mr. Mohammed Mujahid Ali presented the progress of the tournament and conducted the event. Dr. Habeebullah, Assistant Director, DPE&S proposed vote of thanks. Mr. Anis Azmi, chief consultant CUCS also present on the occasion.
