BJP MLA challenges TRS Govt for open debate on Central Funds to State

Hyderabad, INN: BJP MLA Chintala Ramchander Reddy on Sunday challenged the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi for an open debate on the issue of Central Funds to Telangana State.

Addressing a press conference at BJP Headquarters at Nampally, Ramchander Reddy said that the party was ready to hold open debate in the Assembly or at the farm house of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, where he spends most of his time.

He claimed that the Centre has so far released Rs. 1.16 lakh crore under various schemes for Telangana State. However, he said that the TRS Government has misused those funds.

Ramchander Reddy said that the Centre has released Rs. 791 crore towards input subsidy for drought hit farmers. However, the TRS Government did not spent a single rupee from this account.

The BJP leader described TRS as a family party and said except for KCR family no one gained from the formation of Telangana State.

He said if TRS was not a family, then would KCR handover party president’s post to Eatala Rajender. He also demanded a White Paper on the number of days spent by KCR at his farm house and at the State Secretariat.
