Students gather to discuss ‘Persevering Social Fabric’

Students gathered at Tipu Sultan Chowk in Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) to discuss persevering social fabric on Friday.

Conducted by MANUU chapter of Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO), the meet was addressed by SIO Telangana president Dr Talha Faiyazuddin.

As the chief guest on the topic ‘Preserving Social Fabric’, he observed that every tea talk and college activities reflect the heat of election atmosphere during the time of elections.

“Therefore, students and youth need to be educated about their right and responsibility to vote and build the nation,” Dr Talha noted.

“The atmosphere which is created before and during election season has direct impact on the social fabric of our nation. Almost all the politicians do divisive politics to win the election. It threatens our social fabric and diversity.”

Speaking on the occasion, student leader Umar Farooq said an atmosphere of communal polarisation was created during elections to divert the nation from real issues.

“Students and youth should be aware of such propaganda and urged promote communal harmony to save the secular and democratic ethos of India,” he remarked.
