Hyderabad: The National Commission for Backward Classes has summoned NALSAR University Vice-Chancellor and representatives of Telangana Government for hearing on a case of non-implementation of rule of reservation with respect to OBC/BC category students in NALSAR University of Law.
Summons has been issued based on a representation made by All India Congress Committee (AICC) National Spokesperson Dr. Sravan Dasoju and others alleging that the legally mandatory BC quota was not being implemented in admissions into NALSAR University of Law.
“The matter is of serious nature and no remedial action is provided to the representatives till date. Commission viewed it seriously. Keeping in view of the seriousness of the case, I advise you to kindly appear before the Commission’s headquarter at New Delhi in person on June 4, 2019 at 12 noon along with all relevant documents in this case positively to discuss the matter,” NCBC Member Achary Thalloju said in the notice.
Besides, the NALSAR University of Law’s Vice-Chancellor, the NCBC has sent summons to Principal Secretary of Higher Education, Secretary of Department of Law, Principal Secretary of Backward Classes Welfare and Secretary of Telangana State Council for Higher Education. (INN)
