Governor inaugurates BACRI’s golden jubilee celebrations

Hyderabad: Museums are the mirrors that reflect the country’s heritage and the way our ancestors lived, said Governor of Telangana ESL Narasimhan, here on Friday.

Inaugurating the golden jubilee celebrations of the Birla Archaeological and Cultural Research Institute at a function got up on the museum’s premises in Hyderabad, Narasimhan said that museums remind everyone of what was erased from their life by the onslaught of modern day technology, newer languages and ways of life.

“They are reminders of where we come from and a visit to the museum gives us immense pleasure which also satisfies our inner urge to see what we are missing in this modern era,” he maintained.

Nirmala Birla, Chairperson, Dr B. G. Sidharth, and other members of the Birla Science center welcomed the Governor.

Earlier, the Governor lighted the lamp as a mark of inauguration of Golden jubilee celebrations and also inaugurated the Space museum at Bhaskara Auditorium, Birla Science Centre.
