Hyderabad: TRS Working President K. Tarakarama Rao handed over insurance cheques to the families of the deceased TRS party leaders at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad.
Addressing the families, KTR said, “The party cadre is the real strength behind the party. Because of their hard work, the TRS party has been standing victorious in the elections.”
In the form of insurance, Rs. 31.63 crore was paid to a total of 1581 members till date. The TRS party members were given an insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh each. The party leadership had paid Rs 11.21 crore as the annual premium this year too.
Working President KTR stated that Chief Minister KCR cares for the party members and also their families. “To provide financial security to the families of the cadre, CM KCR had come up with an idea to provide insurance to all the party members,” he said.
He also stated that the TRS party has a strength of over 60 lakh members and one amongst the very few parties which provide insurance cover to their cadre.
He said that the MLAs, MPs and public representatives will hand over the cheques to the remaining beneficiaries in their respective constituencies.
Working President KTR interacted with the family members individually and noted their problems. He assured them of addressing all their issues. After the meeting, KTR had lunch with the families at the Telangana Bhavan. (INN)
