TPCC chief asks Centre to expedite High Court bifurcation process

Hyderabad, INN: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has announced total support to the advocates who are agitating against the allotment of judges from Andhra Pradesh in the Hyderabad High Court.

Addressing a press conference in his constituency Huzurnagar on Tuesday, Uttam Kumar Reddy accused the BJP-led NDA Government of deliberately delaying the process of bifurcation of Hyderabad High Court.

He said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has also failed to take up the issue of High Court bifurcation in an effective manner.

He said that the Telangana Congress would extend total support to the advocates who have launched an agitation seeking High Court’s bifurcation.

Meanwhile, several leaders and workers of YSRCP of Nalgonda district joined the Congress party in the presence of Uttam Kumar Reddy.

Welcoming them into the party fold, he said it was the Congress party which granted statehood for Telangana and only Congress could fulfill the aspirations of people of new State.

Uttam Kumar Reddy also laid foundation stone for the construction of CC roads worth Rs. 50 lakh in his constituency.

Later in the evening, the TPCC chief participated in the Iftar party at Kodad. Speaking on the occasion, he accused the TRS Government of cheating the Muslim community on the promise of 12% Muslim reservation.

He pointed out that the Congress party had implemented 4% Muslim reservation within two months after coming to power.

However, TRS Government did nothing to give promised 12% Muslims reservation even after two years.
