TS CM KCR urges Governor for immediate split of High Court

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao met Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan on Wednesday and appealed him to intervene in the division of High Court so as to end the agitation by lawyers in the state.

The Chief Minister appraised the Governor about the problems arising from the delay in the division of the High Court and the problems of the judicial officers.

He is also said to have informed the Governor about the irregularities in the allocation of judicial officers. He appealed to the Governor for an immediate division of the High Court.

Four Judges Suspended in Hyderabad

Even as the agitation by the Telangana judges and advocates was getting intensified, the Hyderabad High Court on Thursday suspended four more lower court judges on disciplinary grounds.

The four judges of Ranga Reddy district court, who were placed under suspension, are: Rangareddy district Judicial Officers’ Association president Srinivas Reddy, Secretary Ch. Venkat Rangareddy, Associate President Krishnaiah and Treasurer Ratnaraju.

Taking serious exception to the agitation of judges and advocates, the High Court had placed under suspension 11 lower court judges since the beginning of the agitation after they participated in the stir. (INN)
