Hyderabad: Telangana Government has decided to appoint senior IAS officer Somesh Kumar as the new Chief Secretary of the government.
Chief Minister Sri K Chandrashekhar Rao has signed on the relevant orders here on Tuesday.
Somesh Kumar will be Chief Secretary from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2023. The state government has taken this decision as Somesh Kumar will have long term to serve and it will offer stability.
The Chief Minister has also decided to appoint Chief Secretary SK Joshi, who is retiring today as Advisor to Government on Irrigation matters. (INN)
