TS Police signs MoU with Symbiosis Law School to set up ‘Legal Literacy Units’

Hyderabad: The Women Safety Wing of Telangana State Police singed one of a kind Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Legal Aid Centre of Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad here on Friday.

The major thrust of the MoU is to create awareness and help women and children across the State by organising various Legal Awareness campus and Training Programmes to bring behavioural and attitudinal changes, identifying gender stereotypes.

Through this collaboration, Legal Literacy Clubs (LLC’s) will be established across educational institutions in the State to engage youth and children.

Swati Lakra, IG Women’s Safety Wing – Telangana State Police signed the MoU on behalf of their department and Prof. (Dr.) Sarfaraz Ahmed Khan on behalf of the Legal Aid Centre, Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad.

Sumathi Badugula, Superintendent of Police, CID and Women Protection Cell, Telangana and Dr.Anurdha Binnuri, Deputy Director Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad witnessed the ceremony.

The Symbiosis Law School has expressed their support to the Women Safety Wing to utilise institution’s space for the students of Legal Literacy Clubs from other colleges. (INN)
